Who We Are

Empathy Action is a group of volunteers united in the belief that, in a broken world, we have a shared responsibility for the wellbeing of others. Through our activities we endeavour to inspire people to help those in need and to work together to make a difference.

Our Motivation

Impelled by the command of Jesus to love our neighbour as ourselves, inspired by the teaching of Jesus to feed the hungry and clothe the poor, we endeavour to follow the example of Jesus, our King, who came not to be served but to serve.

Our Values

Our core values, conviction (head), compassion (heart) and community (hands) imbue every relationship we build. They are underpinned by our Christian ethos, define our character, and equip us to effectively serve all those we meet.

Conviction

Everyone has the capacity to help improve the lives of those less fortunate than themselves. We believe that honouring others above oneself, caring for each other and acting with courage, can change this broken world we live in.

Compassion

We believe that God lovingly created all people in His image, to live equally and with dignity. In a world torn apart by poverty and injustice, our heart is to serve all those we meet with love, respect, kindness and humility.

Community

Our capacity to bring about the change we want to see is enhanced by working together with others. We believe that acts of collaboration are like ripples, spreading outward, far-reaching and with transformative power.
