If you have undertaken a ‘Desperate Journey’, what next?
There are many ways that you can help, such as joining us at Empathy Action, giving money or time, lobbying your local councillors and MPs for accommodation, volunteering with groups who help refugees in Italy, Greece and Jordan…
… or just speaking out on behalf of refugees.
This last action, although simple, is powerful and brims with the potential to change situations for refugees and displaced people. It not only allows us to express our feelings, it brings ideas to life. Evaluate your areas of influence and get smart with what you can offer. In fact, ask someone what they think you can offer.
And please talk to us! We’d love to know about your ideas and ongoing actions.
Thank you for choosing to undertake this journey with us. Our world is in desperate need of more empathetic and compassionate people…just like you.
Our friend Reem, a story consultant for Desperate Journeys, answers the question “what can you do?” here in this video.
