Kenya
Meet the women who hand sew the colourful juggling balls we sell. Our friends at Pursue Kenya run a programme that enables them to meet weekly. Based in the village of Shirotso in Western Kenya, they make the balls from scraps of fabric (Kitenge) donated by local tailors and filled with a local lentil called ndengu.

Sri Lanka
At Sri Lanka, meet the women who make our sari balls, newspaper pencils and purses. Debbie Edirisinghe is Founding Director of Child Action Lanka (CAL). The charity rescues children off the streets and helps them and their families to break the cycle of poverty. In addition, Debbie and her team give refuge to women who are victims of domestic abuse and need a safe place to go with their children.

Zimbabwe
The streets of Harare, Zimbabwe’s capital city, to meet the young people who live there, and who make the beautiful beaded keyrings that we sell. The story is not an easy one – you will hear of hardship and loss, and vulnerability and loneliness. But throughout it, there is determination and hope, and the children’s sheer will to survive.

Cambodia
The beauty of the small, brass bell keyrings that Rajana make are that they are created from spent artillery shells; a very fitting way of showing Cambodia’s progression from a violent past to an ever-brighter future. Once weapons of war, they now help to build lives rather than take them.
