New bespoke repurposed bullet product commission

We have a commission for a new bullet made product with our partners in Cambodia for Reboot the Future. If you would like to see the background here it is.

Here’s a video that we made for the project about the items being made up in Phnom Penh.

Also check out the pitch page here (we’re going ahead with concept 2!)

Other Updates

  • Welcome to Paul Irwin! Coming in regularly on a Wednesday morning. We also have some newer people stepping into some roles for the up and coming simulations at Wally Hall, Canford & Sevenoaks. We’d still love some more - are you able to help, or know someone that we could train up? If so, let us know. Thanks!

  • Slavery. We’ve been thinking more about this issue and friend of ours Libby Sutcliffe (who co-founded Slavery Free UK), is hoping to join us for a future ‘Empathy Experiments’ webinar on this issue - watch this space.

  • Empathy Exercises is here! Following the old primary school programmes that we used to run, the research from the research group and work with International School in Yangon & Brentwood, we are using the term “Empathy Exercises” to capture a new programme that we will be running for groups comprising of giving the empathy muscle a workout. This year we’ll be working with an afternoon following The Poverty Trap at Wally Hall and a day with Sevenoaks school Year 10s following their watching Eli & the Golem puppetry festival play. We hope to run some practices later on and we’d love to invite you along.

Ways to support Empathy Action

  1. Volunteering -watch out for opportunities in Team News for simulations or ongoing work. We’ll host meet ups with updates over the coming year

  2. Share the news - please forward, share any social media items to help boost our reach

  3. Introduce us - please introduce us to any prospective volunteers, customers or clients… we’d value your help in these introductions. We’re only as good as our team!

  4. Regular giving - We’d love to build a support base this year of 100 regular donors of around £10 per month to help us stabilise and build a more ambitious and bolder organisation. A little goes a really long way.

  5. Via smile.amazon - link beneath
